A chance for children
When I first visited Central Africa in 1999 I saw the problems for the first time. The sight of children without a future! It was too shocking to forget. I wanted to actively and sustainable help give some of the children what I had taken for granted during my childhood.
This is why, in 2002, I started to set up the Uniquedirect Children's Relief. It really mattered that any donations from Switzerland actually benefited the children. What we see today is proof that this is possible and we have succeeded.
Orphaned children with HIV/AIDS, orphans and street children, as well as children from large, poor families, find a new home with Uniquedirect, where they can develop and blossom in a friendly carefree environment. The name Uniquedirect stands for the idea of providing direct aid to give disadvantaged children the right to be children!
The children are always the focus of our aid. Education is important. All the children attend a bilingual private school (State schools barely provide the basics). We aim to subsequently create in the project countries jobs for them, in keeping with our motto: Future opportunities through education!
